Mistakes

Have you ever made a mistake?
I hope so.
I didn’t,
But I pray you know.
That perfections demonic grip will suffocate you.
It will clog the sink of reality until the rushing waters
Seep into the walls of your self confidence,
Drown the carpets of your happiness,
And flood the foundation of your faith and love challenging its strength.
Truthfully, perfection is only a perception filled in by the crayolas of photo shop and pseudo social media profiles.
So when you find yourself in the kitchen of life
Cooking and baking and creating mistakes,
Allow the fragrance to erect your nose hairs and permeate the room,
Embrace the steam lifting from emotion and confusion granting it permission to warm your soul with learning.
Because it is hard to grow without mistakes.
